The most famous circus in the world – Cirque du Soleil – will come to Abu Dhabi early next year.
Canada's famous big top will be erected on Yas Island from March 6-16 for a limited run of the company's new Bazzar production.
Bazzar is about to start a run in New Delhi and is a colourful, joyful show themed around a troupe of acrobats, dancers and musicians. The show includes fire work, bikes, a 'mallakhamb', or Indian pole (for the first time in Cirque history) and lots of trapeze artistry.
Here's a glimpse of the show:
Tickets go on sale from Wednesday at tixbox.com, and prices range from Dh195 to Dh1,495. There will be up to a 40 per cent discount for the first month, as an early bird special.
Cirque du Soleil began in Quebec in the 1980s. It focuses on human performers, and has never used animals in its acts.
