Globe-conquering Greek musician Yanni has arrived at Jeddah airport ahead of his debut Saudi Arabian tour.

The world-famous artist will take the stage at the King Abdullah Economic City in Jeddah on November 30 and December 1 and at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center on December 3 and 4.

The 62-year-old composer added a video of his welcome from Saudi's press, saying "We arrived in Jeddah just after 1:00 o'clock in the morning... and it didn't take me long before I tried to learn Arabic from the media..:) as they all made me feel very welcomed ...Yanni"

Yanni issued a string of tweets prior to his arrival, calling the visit "historic," and saying there can "only be one first time."

A favourite of Middle Eastern audiences, he performed in Abu Dhabi for the first time last year.

Yanni joins a growing list of musicians performing concerts in the Kingdom, including US Country singer Toby Keith who had a concert earlier this year, and rapper Nelly, who will appear alongside Arabic pop-star Cheb Khalid on December 14th in Jeddah.
