With live concerts still on pause amid the ongoing pandemic, virtual performances have been the entertainment world's go-to of late – and now there's a new one to add to your calendar.
One Humanity Live is an online show that will be live-streamed over 24 hours, bringing together a host of big names from across the world – from musicians and actors to motivational speakers.
The event, which will begin at 12pm EST on Friday, May 29 (8pm UAE time), has been designed to raise funds for charitable organisations and their Covid-19 relief funds.
Among those taking part in the full-day broadcast, is British pop star and New Rules singer Dua Lipa, as well as Puerto Rican hit-maker Ricky Martin and American singer-songwriter Jewel.
The line-up, which comprises appearances from 150 names, also includes Indian actress Sonam Kapoor, Forget You singer CeeLo Green, author Deepak Chopra and Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama.
Jason Derulo, Ronan Keating, Jay Shetty and Pixie Lott also feature on the bill, although timings for individual appearances have not yet been shared.
The line-up has been designed to include a number of famous faces from numerous regions, with the Middle East also represented by appearances from beauty mogul Huda Kattan and influencer Karen Wazen.
The event will be streamed across social media sites including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, as well as on the website ohm.constellation.art.
"The live broadcast will see artists, celebrities, youth ambassadors, activists, and like-minded dreamers from all around the world stepping up to shift the narrative of fear and anxiety to optimism, hope and imagination around shared dreams," the website says.
Proceeds raised through donations will benefit the likes of non-profits such as Global Gift Foundation, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and Dubai Cares.
