Madonna's brother says he sleeps on street

While Madonna remains on top of the pop-world, it seems her older brother has hit rock bottom.

It has been reported that Anthony Ciccone, who is two years older than the diva, has been begging on the streets of Michigan for more than a year, after losing his job at the family winery.

According to the Michigan Messenger, Ciccone claims he has been shunned by his "multi-bazzillionaire" sister and was forced to live under a bridge, relying on charity for meals.

"My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time," he said.

"You think I haven't answered this kind of question a bazillion times - when my sister is a multi-bazzillionaire and I'm homeless on the street ... Never say never, this could happen to anyone."

The second of eight children, Ciccone's woes began after losing his job at Ciccone Vineyard, run by his father and where he worked as a salesman.

This is not the first time one of Madonna's siblings has made headlines.

In 2008, her younger brother Christopher published his memoir Life With My Sister Madonna where he portrayed the singer as arrogant and manipulative.

Meanwhile, Madonna was expected to come to the UAE when a Live Nation document listing Madonna's 2012 tour dates was leaked on a website and included Yas Arena on June 6 as part of the tour stops.

However, Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg has denied the rumours.

UK's plans to cut net migration

Under the UK government’s proposals, migrants will have to spend 10 years in the UK before being able to apply for citizenship.

Skilled worker visas will require a university degree, and there will be tighter restrictions on recruitment for jobs with skills shortages.

But what are described as "high-contributing" individuals such as doctors and nurses could be fast-tracked through the system.

Language requirements will be increased for all immigration routes to ensure a higher level of English.

Rules will also be laid out for adult dependants, meaning they will have to demonstrate a basic understanding of the language.

The plans also call for stricter tests for colleges and universities offering places to foreign students and a reduction in the time graduates can remain in the UK after their studies from two years to 18 months.
