Dubai Shopping Festival is officially under way, with the extravaganza kicking off with a weekend of performances.

On the second night of back-to-back shows, Anne-Marie and electronic music group Clean Bandit took to the stage to give Dubai audiences an action-packed performance.

The event took place at Etisalat Market OTB at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai, on Friday, with doors opening at 5pm, giving visitors access to family-friendly entertainment and food stalls before the show.

At 8pm, Clean Bandit took to the stage, with vocalist Yasmin Green belting out hits such as Rather Be. The performance was followed by singer-songwriter Anne-Marie, who entertained audiences with crowd-pleasers including Problems and Friends.

The event marked the second day of concerts celebrating the launch of the 26th Dubai Shopping Festival, which kicked off on Thursday, December 17.

Arabic pop stars Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny led the opening concert on Thursday.

Both concerts implemented several health and safety precautions in line with Covid-19 regulations, including temperature checks and compulsory face masks.

Seats for the concert were also spaced out to meet social distancing guidelines.

Other performances announced for DSF include DJ Alan Walker at Coca-Cola Arena on Thursday, January 7, British comedian Jack Whitehall on Wednesday, January 13 and Thursday, January 14, and Pakistani singer Atif Aslam on Friday, January 15.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), DSF will take place until Saturday, January 30.
