The 26th Dubai Shopping Festival kicked off on Thursday with opening concerts from Arabic pop stars Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny

The festivities took place at Burj Park in Downtown Dubai, marking the start of six-weeks of celebrations that will see concerts, fireworks, and of course plenty of deals and offers taking place across the emirate.

As well as an opening night of music, Dubai’s landmarks were lit up with a number of DSF-themed light installations.

Friday will see more live music at Burj Park courtesy of DSF, with performances from UK group Clean Bandit and singer-songwriter Anne-Marie. The two artists previously collaborated on the hit song Rockabye (which also featured Sean Paul).

Other performances announced for DSF include DJ Alan Walker at Coca-Cola Arena on Thursday, January 7, British comedian Jack Whitehall on Wednesday, January 13 and Thursday, January 14, and Pakistani singer Atif Aslam on Friday, January 15.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), DSF will take place until January 30, 2021.
