Get ready for Abu Dhabi’s biggest weekend of the year. In addition to the major acts performing as part of the Abu Dhabi F1 After Race concert series, a growing number of clubs are getting in on the action by hosting their very own F1 themed parties featuring their own international music guests.

Here is a break-down on who is performing at the club nights next weekend. With more clubs yet to announce their F1 festivities, this list will be continually updated.

The Emirati is a seasoned hand on the decks. Expect Saif and Sound to keep the revelry flowing with his brand of pop and hip-hop mixes. He will kick off the locally based music line-up at the Spanish themed eatery Diablito Food and Music.

Dj Saif and Sound at Diablito Food and Music on Thursday, November 18, 12pm to 4am; Yas Yacht Club, Yas Marina; brunch packages available on www.diablitofoodandmusic.ae

Sandy Rivera

Okoko will be taking over the rooftop Wet Deck area of the new W Abu Dhabi, and the hotel has also brought in a line-up of world class DJs for race weekend. Veteran American house music DJ and producer, Sandy Rivera, kicks off the first of three parties.

In his two-decade career, Rivera has worked with an eclectic mix of artists – ranging from jazz man Terry Callier, house music diva Gisele Jackson and the celebrated South African folk group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

MKO

Fresh from launching his debut album, Diverse, in Dubai last month, Nigerian singer MKO will bring his Afro-pop vibes to the capital for an F1 weekend bash at the Annex in The Abu Dhabi Edition. MKO is an assured performer. His songs are all lushly produced and feature a combination of styles such as R&B, hip-hop and pop and modern African genres such as HiLife.

MKO at the Annex on Friday, December 29, 9pm; Abu Dhabi Edition Hotel, Al Bateen: www.editionhotels.com/abu-dhabi

Saturday, November 30

Tyga

The rapper will perform at the Base F1 pop-up club, which is located above Cipriani’s. Tyga’s got the tunes to work the crowds, including bangers Dip, Rack City and Taste. One song that will go down a treat is the recent hit Dubai Drip. Released last year, the song uses the emirate as a metaphor for living your best life.

Tyga at Base on Saturday, November 30, doors open at 11pm; above Cipriani at Yas Marina at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi; www.basedubai.com

Faithless DJ

Sister Bliss, best known as a founding member of iconic UK dance act Faithless, will perform at Okoko. The enigmatic British artist will play the biggest hits from Faithless's career, as well as adventurous electro tunes.

Sigma

The UK dance music duo will perform at the lavish Amber Lounge parties at the Yas Links Golf Club. Since forming in 2006, Sigma steadily built a following with a series of innovative remixes of tracks by Ellie Goulding, Skepta and Groove Armada. Claptone

The Berlin DJ takes on the race day club show at Okoko. A renowned club performer, Claptone is loved for his brilliant and evocative music selection showcasing house music's ability to accommodate elements of rock and soul into the mix. There is none of the genre's dizzying bass drops and synth peaks, instead there is a welcome intricacy and tastefulness to his work that is akin to the likes of French house music masters Daft Punk.

Okoko at Wet Deck featuring Claptone on Sunday, December 1, 9.30pm to 4am; tickets start from Dh500; Wet Deck at W Abu Dhabi at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi; abu-dhabi.platinumlist.net
