It's been a whirlwind few months for Priyanka Chopra, from her five-day wedding last month to a subsequent series of honeymoons with new husband Nick Jonas. However, the Quantico star isn't slowing down her schedule any time soon, with the 36-year-old actress this week announcing she is launching a new digital show.
Chopra will front a YouTube original series called If I Could Tell You Just One Thing, the newlywed announced on her Instagram account this weekend. The Jamshedpur-born star will interview notable names — including stars of the sporting and fashion worlds — to discover their secrets to success.
“With this #10yearchallengetaking over the internet, it's got me thinking about the past 10 years of my life, like probably all of you. So much has changed!” Chopra wrote on the social media platform, revealing the premise behind the series. “Not just my hair or my clothes (or my husband!), but in how I see the world. How I understand myself. In these 10 years, with everything I’ve done, I realised that it’s my curiosity in others that has led me to grow into who I am today.”
Such curiosity spawned the idea for her YouTube programme, the actress stated, adding that the concept will see her meet “extraordinary people”. “I am a lifelong learner and I am always seeking inspiration,” she added. “Help me navigate my way through this journey as I ask my peers, role models, and friends.”
One figure profiled in the series is Diane von Furstenberg, Chopra divulged, as she shared clips from filming day on her Instagram Stories. "She's lived such rich, amazing life with so many stories," the Baywatch star said of the Belgian-American designer. "Fashion is such an intrinsic part of all our lives. She has been such a big part of moving the needle in fashion," Chopra added, while highlighting the DVF wrap dress she was wearing for shooting.
The actress has also sat down with Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles, she revealed on Instagram in an earlier post.
“I have an amazing guest, a young girl who I admire tremendously,” Chopra said of the American gymnast. “She is not only a world champion athlete but also multiple Olympic medal winner. She packs a punch, what I admire most about her is her resilience and her ability to bounce back from anything.”
A launch date for If I Could Tell You Just One Thing is yet to be announced — but it won't be the only endeavour from Chopra hitting screens in the near future. The star will feature in satirical comedy Isn't it Romantic alongside Revel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth, which is scheduled for release in the US next month.
