The Oscars are coming and this year UAE residents have the opportunity to dedicate 24 hours of their lives to the event.
You can watch red-carpet coverage on both Dubai One (from 2am tomorrow) and E! (from 2.30am), before Dubai One shows the awards proper starting at 4am UAE time. If you’re not near a television, don’t worry as Dubai One will also be screening the event through its website, Android and iPhone apps and on its YouTube channel.
Find a comfortable seat as you’ll be well into tomorrow morning by the time the awards are over – at last count the list of confirmed presenters stood at some 46, including big names such as Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford and Robert De Niro.
You’ll probably need a sleep after all that excitement, unless you’re unfortunate enough to have a job to go to, but then you can relive the whole thing at A Taste of Fame restaurant in Dubai’s Sunset Mall. The celebrity-themed diner will be repeating the whole show, complete with a special Oscars-themed menu and DJ, and also promises vouchers for neighbouring shops in the mall and a special award for the “Stars of the Night”.
You’ll probably be ready for another nap after that.
