Green Book
The civil rights road trip movie has been described as a "surprise win". The award was dedicated to Carrie Fisher, and the filmmakers credited Viggo Mortensen with inspiring them to make the movie.

Roma, Alfonso Cuaron
The third Oscar for Roma tonight, the second specifically for Cuaron. The director thanked the Academy for recognising a film about an indigenous woman. Once again, he thanked Mexico, this time in Spanish, saying, "Gracias, gracias, gracias".

Olivia Colman, The Favourite
The first Oscar nomination for the British actress. "This is hilarious," Colman said as she arrived on stage, before adding "it wasn't a hardship to go to work every day" with Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz. She also paid tribute to Glenn Close, her fellow Best Actress nominee.
