Yayoi Kusama to show in Sharjah next season

The Art Blog can’t wait for the new season to start, there are so many strong shows on the horizon with one of the biggest highlights set to be Yayoi Kusama’s exhibition at Sharjah Art Foundation. Sheikha Hoor Al Qassimi recently shared a snap on social media of her with the artist in 2012, which is when the preparation for this show began. So, with four years in the making, we are really looking forward to seeing it. Kusama is known as the Queen of the Polka Dot, for her constant use of that symbol and this show will exhibit pieces back from the 1950s revealing her decade-long career progression. Yayoi Kusama: Dot Obsessions runs from October 1 – January 9.
