If you haven't seen his work before, you will be forgiven for not being able to describe it. The easiest and most accurate way is to say that is a collection of forms that are indefinable but at the same time strikingly familiar.
The way the gallery has described his work is Primordial, which is the name of the solo show by Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim that runs until the end of this week.
For the last 25 years, Ibrahim has been challenging himself, through his artistic practices, to reach deep inside himself and discover the most basic forms, which he then makes from organic material that he finds in his home of Khorfakkan on the UAE's east coast.
