As part of Tashkeel's New Media Residency Programme, sound artists Fari Bradley and Chris Weaver moderated discussions on Sound Art at Tashkeel last week. Along with guest speaker Johnny Farrow, an American artist based in Abu Dhabi, the public session on The Art of Listening featured a shared listening experience followed by a discussion on film and a radio programme extracts that illustrate the overlap between the activities of hearing and listening.
This fascinating programme, to introduce the art audience to sound art, will run on all Wednesdays throughout September at 7pm.
