Meem Gallery to bring key Marwan works to New York’s The Armory Show

Another highlight of this year’s Armory Show in New York opening next weekend is Meem Gallery’s solo show of Marwan. Syrian artist Marwan is one of the most important artists of the region and the recurrent themes within his work are self-portraits, portraits, figures and silhouettes.

Meem, one of Dubai’s most important galleries, will present a selection of key Marwan works from the 1960s through to the 1990s.

Curated by Whitechapel Gallery Curator, Omar Kholeif, the entire Focus section of this year’s fair is focused on the Middle East, North Africa and Mediterranean and promises to be an excellent show.
