Newly opened, the place is an impressive ode to the beauty of art from inside to out. The ceilings are modelled on calligraphy pattern by Ali Hassan and in the lobby is a wonderfully designed sofa in the shape of the Arabic letter “noon” from which the hotel got it’s name. Each floor of the 11-storey hotel is dedicated to an artist - Hassan, a painter from Qatar, Najat Makki, one of the UAE’s most important artists and Khaled Ben Slimane, a Tunisian. Patterns from their paintings are used on the wallpaper, to form the shape of the bedhead and even to decorate the windows.
What’s more, beside each piece is an explanation so that even if you are not sure how to interpret the art around you, the design team at the hotel have given you a helping hand.
Complete with all the necessities you need to make a hotel stay enjoyable - pool, gym, restaurant and a central location very close to the Mall of the Emirates - it is an enjoyable place to stay and experience art on another level.
