  • Arabic

A charity art auction for flood relief in Bosnia and Herzegovina will take place tomorrow in Dubai.

Featuring donated work from 30 artists, the auction will raise funds and awareness for the disaster that has affected 1.5 million people in the eastern European country.

Organised by ZeeArts Community, the main contributor is Mirsad Smajovic a renowned Bosnian calligrapher, who has donated pieces of Islamic calligraphy as the highlight of the auction. There are also artists from India, Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, France, Syria and Egypt.

Alem Goshime, an Ethiopian painter has donated a stunning abstract landscape work, pictured here and Kamen Bonev, a Bulgarian, has contributed his piece - Autumn.

The auction will take place at Gallery 76, part of the Dubai International Art Centre and will be attended by Satko Bitanga, Counsellor and Deputy Ambassador at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The prices start as low as Dh100 and are all original artworks so it is well worth going down to check it out if you have some time.
