It was a great evening on Saturday across the many venues of Sharjah Art Foundation.
The highly anticipated Yayoi Kusama show was a full house and for those looking for an immersive experience they were not disappointed with the two large scale installations - giant red polka dot covered balls and a room of people sticking polka dots everywhere.
Another highlight was over at the Flying Saucer building where avant garde American artist Robert Breer’s work was crystallised in a retrospective show.
And of course, Turner Prize nominee Enrico David was in town for his show Fault Work, which certainly deserves a ponder.
My fuller story on all the shows is out on Tuesday and my interview with Enrico to follow next week.
