The month-long schedule of artisitic events that happen between March and April in Dubai will now be encompassed under one umbrella initiative called Dubai Art Season.
In a statement issued this morning by Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, he said that he wanted Dubai Art Season to integrate community members and residents of UAE into Dubai’s flourishing arts industry.
“Dubai’s extensive portfolio of arts and culture events has set a clear growth track for its creative landscape," he said. "Boasting platforms that lend momentum to each discipline of art, from visual arts, and performing arts, to film, the city has become an incubator for aspiring and emerging artistic talent."
Dubai Art Season will start on March 15 will Sikka Art Fair and will run throughout Art Dubai and Design Days Dubai as well as the Middle East Film & Comic Con and will culminate with the Gulf Film Festival in April.
A programme of further events planned for the season will be announced shortly.
