Check out these stunning pieces from Aljoud Lootah Design Studio. Made from teak wood The Oru Series explores form and function and takes inspiration from the Japanese art of origami. The name originates from the Japanese words ‘to fold’, and the Emirati designer says “the idea behind the designs is to show that folding a flat, two-dimensional sheet of paper can create aesthetically appealing functional three-dimensional forms and objects.”
Lootah will be making her debut at Design Days Dubai this year and with such an impressive debut collection, I am sure she will have a long and fruitful career.
