Ever wondered what Armenian art looks like? Well, you can stop wondering if you head down to The Space in Abu Dhabi’s TwoFour54 zone.
In rememberance of the Armenian genocide, which was 100 years ago, there have been worldwide celebrations of Armenian culture and the UAE is no different. Two leading artists, Aram Dovlation, who is also known as Dovlat and Gagik Gervokian, who goes by the artist name Gago are exhibiting their work in the community space until the end of the month.
There are a mixture of canvases and wooden and bronze sculptures, all of which evoke Armenian culture, heritage and deep-rooted traditions.
Both artists are from Yerevan and take inspiration from a number of sources including social and political shifts and personal identity.
* Captured Memories Never Fade runs until May 28 at The Space, Abu Dhabi. For more info email: hayartvest@gmail.com
