5 things to do today: watch a French film and check out an exhibition
Watch the French film 2 Automnes, 3 Hivers (2 Autumns, 3 Winters) as part of the Rendez-Vous Cinema from Alliance Française Dubai. The film is about a man, Arman, who is ready to make a change in life, and on a run in the park he meets Amélie, with whom he wants to make a connection. He spends the next two autumns and three winters sharing moments and making unforgettable memories. The film is subtitled in English. Today, at 8.30pm, free entry, Seville’s Terrace at Wafi, Dubai, www.afdubai.org
See the exhibition Aide-Mémoire, which presents a collection of photographs, videos and sculptures that can elicit subjective responses from spectators. Many of the artists reference memories that are personal or collective, showing how they can be recorded or fictionalised through aesthetic creation, including Absence by Nedim Kufi.
