Uma Thurman, the Jonas Brothers and the late Paul Walker will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
They are part of a new list of 24 entertainment professionals selected to recognised on the famous boulevard in Los Angeles next year.
Oscar-nominated actress Juanita Moore and Fast and Furious film franchise star Paul Walker are due to be honoured posthumously.
Walker was just 40 when he died as the Porsche Carrera GT he was travelling in crashed at more than 160kph and burst into flames in California in 2013.
The announcements were made by chairwoman of the Walk of Fame Selection Panel, Ellen K, on Friday.
As well as Walker, celebrities to be honoured in the Motion Pictures category include Vince Vaughn, Ludacris, Bill Pullman and John Waters.
US singer Jenni Rivera will be honoured posthumously in the category.
John Favreau is among the honourees in the TV category alongside include Mindy Kaling, Martin Lawrence, Ralph Macchio, Garrett Morris and Ellen Pompeo.
International pianist Lang Lang joins Melba Moore and US a cappella group Pentatonix to receive stars in the Live Theatre/Live Performance.
"The panel thoughtfully selected these talented individuals and we can't wait to celebrate them as they become part of Hollywood's history with the unveiling of their star on the world's most famous walkway," K said.
Dates have not been scheduled for the star ceremonies and recipients have two years to schedule their ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire.

What is a virtual bank?
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority defines it as a bank that delivers services through the internet or other electronic channels instead of physical branches. That means not only facilitating payments but accepting deposits and making loans, just like traditional ones. Other terms used interchangeably include digital or digital-only banks or neobanks. By contrast, so-called digital wallets or e-wallets such as Apple Pay, PayPal or Google Pay usually serve as intermediaries between a consumer’s traditional account or credit card and a merchant, usually via a smartphone or computer.
What’s the draw in Asia?
Hundreds of millions of people under-served by traditional institutions, for one thing. In China, India and elsewhere, digital wallets such as Alipay, WeChat Pay and Paytm have already become ubiquitous, offering millions of people an easy way to store and spend their money via mobile phone. Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines are also among the world’s biggest under-banked countries; together they have almost half a billion people.
Is Hong Kong short of banks?
No, but the city is among the most cash-reliant major economies, leaving room for newcomers to disrupt the entrenched industry. Ant Financial, an Alibaba Group Holding affiliate that runs Alipay and MYBank, and Tencent Holdings, the company behind WeBank and WeChat Pay, are among the owners of the eight ventures licensed to create virtual banks in Hong Kong, with operations expected to start as early as the end of the year.

How the UAE gratuity payment is calculated now
Employees leaving an organisation are entitled to an end-of-service gratuity after completing at least one year of service.
The tenure is calculated on the number of days worked and does not include lengthy leave periods, such as a sabbatical. If you have worked for a company between one and five years, you are paid 21 days of pay based on your final basic salary. After five years, however, you are entitled to 30 days of pay. The total lump sum you receive is based on the duration of your employment.
1. For those who have worked between one and five years, on a basic salary of Dh10,000 (calculation based on 30 days):
a. Dh10,000 ÷ 30 = Dh333.33. Your daily wage is Dh333.33
b. Dh333.33 x 21 = Dh7,000. So 21 days salary equates to Dh7,000 in gratuity entitlement for each year of service. Multiply this figure for every year of service up to five years.
2. For those who have worked more than five years
c. 333.33 x 30 = Dh10,000. So 30 days’ salary is Dh10,000 in gratuity entitlement for each year of service.
Note: The maximum figure cannot exceed two years total salary figure.
