Our fashion, art and editorial teams struggled in picking out the perfect image for the opening spread of our winter fashion shoot, which was published in last week's December 2016 issue of Luxury magazine. After much debate, one picture was agreed on, as it portrayed three important elements: the backdrop of the funfair, the moody-yet-majestic lighting achieved during sunset and of course, the two fashion powerhouses showcased in the shot.
The look in the photograph features a striped skirt and top set from the autumn/winter 2016 collection of Salvatore Ferragamo, along with an all-new crochet dress and cardigan outfit from Chanel's 2017 cruise collection. The shoot took place at sunset at The Funfair at The Beach, opposite JBR in Dubai, inside a tent lined with life-size stuffed dogs. Another furry friend is also featured in the image — atop of the Ferragomo outfit sits a black cat, fastened to a necklace, priced at nearly Dh3,000, by Spanish luxury label Loewe.
To achieve a similar style, pair matching separates together. To break up the monotony, choose one statement accessory to add to your outfit — but remember to only choose one, as too many elements will distract from the elegance of your overall look.
