The last three years - that's six seasons in fashion - have seen a consistent push for florals in men's clothing.
This week's New York shows were no different.
Marc by Marc Jacobs reinterpreted the classic Hawaiian shirt, cut with shorter arms and tailored for a tight fit.
Ovadia and Sons went for the trousers. It's noteworthy how the right use of navy blue (the sweatshirt) and white (the shoes) toned down the delicateness of the florals. (The beard helped, too.)
Like Jacobs, Patrik Ervell took on the iconic polo - the shirt open, American tourist-style. His twist? Throw it over a sweatshirt. And don't forget those leather shorts, which are turning out to be the biggest menswear trend this season.
Mark McNairy wins Best in Show for this superb coat. On the surface it looks ultra feminine; paired with the right tailoring, it looks super handsome.
Bespoken splashed the motif over an entire ensemble.
And so did Shades of Grey. (Sidenote: Welcome back, Birkenstocks!)
Ernest Alexander delivered a dapper double-breasted jacket.
While for J.Crew it was all about the details. Blink and you'll miss the bloom.
