Los Angeles-based skincare brand Murad has been a proponent of the “Connected Beauty” philosophy since its inception in 1989. Founder and dermatologist Dr Howard Murad follows a “whole-person approach to skincare”. He says this works to nourish the skin because people “awaken their body through physical activity, be kind to their minds and ‘eat’ their water by consuming fruits and vegetables”.
Now Al Tayer Insignia has brought Murad Space, a unique environment designed by Murad, to the Middle East – specifically at Areej boutiques in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Here, Murad's products and experts will be on hand, and visitors can go in for a Youthcam Skin Analysis, where specialists will prescribe customised skincare and lifestyle regimes. The consultation measures five skin-health concerns: fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, redness, inflammation and pores.
Murad Space will also carry some of the brand’s most popular clinical skincare collections, including Age Reform, Acne, Environmental Shield, Murad Men, Resurgence, White Brilliance and Age Proof Sun Care. Some of the best-selling products to invest in for the summer months are the Invisiblur Perfecting Shield, a primer and sunblock with SPF30 (Dh275 for 30ml); the Retinol Youth Renewal Serum, for younger-looking skin (Dh372 for 30ml); and the Hydro-Dynamic Quencing Essence for non-sticky moisturising (Dh329 for 30ml).
