Our Review editor Clare Dight is in Milan experiencing the heady world of Fashion Week. Normally immersed in the more serious side of feature writing, we get a glimpse into what she makes of it all.

“I love Dubai,” says leading Italian designer. A few hours after waving to the audience at the end of the short-but-almost-sweet Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2015 show, Cavalli himself stopped at his store on Via Montenapoleone in Milan to greet a handful of shoppers from the UAE.

The group who’d flown into the Italian fashion capital from Abu Dhabi for a five-night, Royal Jet Luxury Vacations fashion break were welcomed with enthusiasm by the designer. “I love Dubai,” he said. “I miss it.” He added that he was looking forward to the emirate’s winter sun and Arabic food soon “perhaps you can throw me a dinner?” - before blowing kisses and making an exit.
