Several US officials have called for President Donald Trump’s removal after his supporters stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday while Congress was certifying the 2020 presidential election results.
Five people died, including a US Capitol police officer, and multiple Trump administration members have resigned as a result.
President-elect Joe Biden’s win was eventually certified after the Capitol was secured on Thursday. Mr Trump acknowledged his loss and said there will be a peaceful transition of power on January 20. Follow the latest updates below
