Timeline: recent attacks on US forces in Iraq

The rocket strikes that killed two American and one British soldier at the Taji air base near Baghdad on March 11 follow a string of similar attacks on US troops serving in Iraq as part of the global anti-ISIS coalition.

A look at previous strikes launched against US-linked military sites in Iraq since the middle of last year:

January 8, 2020

Iran fires missiles at Ain Al Assad base in Anbar province and at an Iraqi military facility in Erbil in retaliation for the US drone strike that killed Revolutionary Guard commander Qassem Suleimani on January 3. The Pentagon initially said there were no US casualties but later reported that more than 100 soldiers were being treated for traumatic brain injury related to the attack.
