Man charged with £515,000 diamond theft from London home

Detectives have a charged a man after the theft of a £515,000 diamond from a London property.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Flying Squad had been investigating a burglary at a property in Westminster that took place between December 12 and 15, 2017.

On Thursday, detectives charged Justinas Ivaskivicius, 34, from Cambridge, in connection with it.

Mr Ivaskivicius has been charged with theft from a person and two counts of possession of criminal property on or before May 28, 2020, after he was found with a quantity of cash.

He will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday by video link.
