Sheikh Khalifa, the President, sent two condolence cables to Queen Elizabeth II and British prime minister David Cameron after Margaret Thatcher died.
Sheikh Khalifa expressed his profound sorrow on the death of Baroness Thatcher. The UAE President recalled her role and great efforts in promoting and strengthening the relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar cables to Queen Elizabeth II and Mr Cameron.
