The debut of the latest Apple’s iPhones saw the usual long lines and fanfare around the world today, but here’s a moment to forget for Australia’s first iPhone 6 owner, who dropped his new handset live on TV.
As most will know, the combination of excitement and Apple’s fiddly packaging box got the better of Jack Cooksey, from Perth, who dropped the clanger on morning television.
Thankfully no harm was caused to the phone.
"I dropped it in a panic to get it open," Mr Cooksey told the Perth Sunday Times. "Luckily it's covered in plastic, so it's fine."
The iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus went on sale today in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, France, Germany and the UK and will later before rolling out in Puerto Rico, Canada and the US.
