Coronavirus continues to spread with more than 28, 200 cases reported

The confirmed number of coronavirus cases has climbed to more than 28, 200 and the death toll rose to 565 as of Thursday morning.

Several countries, including the UAE, have imposed travel restrictions to and from China as the deadly coronavirus outbreak has spread to at least 25 countries.

An outbreak of the respiratory virus aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship has forced more than 3,700 passengers and crew members into a two week quarantine off the coast of Japan. At least 20 people on board tested positive for the virus.

UAE health authorities confirmed there were five cases of the 2019-nCoV respiratory virus in the country.
