Young girl run over by train in Sharjah

Four-year-old was at park with family when she fell onto the tracks.

SHARJAH // A 4-year-old girl has been run over by the fairground train that travels around Sharjah National Park.

The Palestinian girl was standing on the pavement when she fell under the train at 6.30pm on Friday.

The tyres of the train rolled over her before the screams of a passer-by alerted the train driver.

A man stretched under the train to pull the young girl out before running around to find her parents.

The parents took their daughter to Al Kuwaiti Hospital and she was treated for head and arm injuries.
