An employee of the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company has been referred to the public prosecution to stand trial for allegedly receiving bribes.
The employee, an Arab national, is accused of asking a building contractor for Dh10,000 to connect power to a number of villas in Khalifa City A in the suburbs of Abu Dhabi.
The complaint was lodged by the contractor, who said that he had already obtained the connection order but the employee asked for bribes to implement it.
