DUBAI// A 27-year-old prostitute stole a man’s iPhone from a hotel reception desk, the Dubai Criminal Court was told.
The woman snatched the phone belonging to American hotel employee P S, 30, as he was talking to his colleague at a hotel in Al Mankhool.
“She snatched it and ran away so I called police,” P S said in records.
When reviewing camera footage, P S managed to identify the woman. Ethiopian W A was arrested the next day.
During investigations, police found that she had been working as a prostitute.
She was referred to court on charges of theft and prostitution, which she denied.
A verdict is expected on November 8.
