A competition to find the "world's hottest chilli" has ended with two people being taking to hospital.

Ambulances were called to the Kismot restaurant in Edinburgh, Scotland after customers were invited to taste the "Kismot Killer" curry dish.

Although members of the Red Cross were on hand at the event, which was to raise money for a children's charity, the reaction of some participants was so violent they needed emergency care.

One victim, an American student, told the BBC: "It was very painful and felt like I was being chainsawed in the stomach with hot sauce on the chainsaw."

Wrong on both counts

After being called to the scene of a suspected assault in Mapleton, Utah, police were confronted with a man who warned them that he was "invisible and unstoppable".

Officers arrested Adam Cowgillon the spot and took him to a local jail on charges of evading police, damage to prison property, reckless endangerment, unlawful detention, reckless driving and possession of a dangerous weapon.

But is it invisible?

Michael Schumacher's Formula One driver's bus is to be told at auction. The Scuderia Ferrari coach was used by Schumacher's team between 2001 and 2005. It has red leather upholstery, and two separate apartments, each with its own entrance. Its other facilities include massage tables, flat screen TVs and satellite telephones.

The coach was used to drive between European grands prix and, with less than 88,000 kilometres on the clock, has a reserve price of between Dh1.13 million and Dh1.69m.

Good taste in movies

The grandson of the North Korean dictator has been found to be posting entries on a Facebook page.

Kim Han-sol is the 16-year-old son of Kim Jong-il's eldest son, according to newspaper reports in South Korea. His account features a photo of the teenager with bleach blond hair, with posts allegedly claiming that he loves democracy and that his favourite film is the romantic comedy Love Actually, starring Hugh Grant and Keira Knightley.

Settings on the Facebook account have now been changed to private.

Everything old is new again

After claiming that Vladimir Putin had discovered ancient Greek storage vessels while diving in the Black Sea this summer, the Russian prime minister's spokesman has admitted that it was a set-up.

State TV footage showed Mr Putin emerging from the sea holding the relics, which purportedly had been lying on the seabed for thousands of years.

It has now emerged that the amphorae had been planted by archaeologists several days early in the hope of pleasing their leader.

Mr Putin's spokesman described this as "a completely normal thing to do".
