DUBAI // A Qantas flight from London to Dubai had to make a u-turn an hour after taking off after a passenger became ‘unruly’.

The A380 plane was met by local authorities on its arrival at Heathrow.

“This type of disruption inconveniences our customers and comes at significant cost to Qantas, but we take a zero tolerance approach to aggressive behaviour on board,” the airline said in a statement.

The statement added the passenger displayed “threatening behaviour” and had to be “restrained by crew”.

The flight, which was originally scheduled to depart London at 9.15pm local time, landed back in London at 11.50pm.

Several passengers voiced their displeasure over the delays on Twitter.

A spokesman for Qantas said they were working to ensure the plane was in the air again as soon as possible.
