After a weekend of thunderstorms, clouds and heavy rain, more bad weather is expected on Sunday and Monday.

Winds in Al Gharbia became stronger overnight, causing the temperature to drop and the sea to become rough. The wind will kick up dust and sand, reducing visibility, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology warned.

Fog is also expected on Tuesday morning.

At the weekend, the maximum accumulated rainfall was 34.6 millimetres, at Sweihan, and visibility was reported at less than 50 metres in some places.
