UAE weather: Warnings of ‘unstable’ conditions

Towering clouds may form and fresh to strong northwesterly winds could cause blowing dust and rough seas, the UAE weather bureau said.

ABU DHABI // The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology is continuing its warning of “unstable weather” conditions across the country on Monday.

Towering clouds may form and fresh to strong northwesterly winds could cause blowing dust over exposed areas and rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, the NCMS said.

Over the next 24 hours, residents can expect “unstable weather” to continue.

“The amount of clouds will increase over scattered areas, with a chance of rainfall,” the centre said, noting there may also be a drop in temperature over most areas.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country today was 13.8ºC on Jais Mountain at 5.30am.

High temperatures along the coast will reach between 21ºC and 24ºC today. In the interior, highs will be between 22ºC and 28ºC and, in the mountains, between 18ºC and 23ºC.
