Motorists and pedestrians have been urged to use extreme caution when travelling on Tuesday morning due to poor visibility on UAE roads.

The warning was issued by the National Centre of Meteorology, whicjh said that blowing dust and sand is causing poor visibility of less than 2 kilometres at a time.

The NCM also warned there would be a chance of rainfall as the day progressed.

Temperatures were expected to reach as high as 35°C in internal regions across the country.

However, in mountainous areas it was predicted the weather could be as low as 8°C.

Humidity was said to peak at 85 per cent, while the winds were expected to be as high as 45 km/h.
