SHARJAH // Fair weather is expected on Sunday as temperatures continue to climb.
Residents can expect partly cloudy skies, with temperatures peaking at 40°C inland, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.
Cooler conditions are expected along the coast with the mercury hitting highs of 34°C, and 27°C in the mountainous areas of the country.
Maximum humidity will range between 60 and 80 per cent across coastal regions, 50 and 70 per cent inland, with drier conditions of 40 to 60 per cent humidity forecast in the mountains.
Seas will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
On Saturday, the highest temperature recorded across the country was 41.8°C in Mukhariz, 80 kilometres from Liwa in Abu Dhabi, at 3:15pm.
