Hot and hazy weather will continue today and throughout the weekend but forecasters are warning residents to approach the beach with caution.

Waters are expected to be rough in both the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman as south-easterly winds of up to 33km per hour whip hot air inland.

Skies will remain partly cloudy with some rainy connective clouds expected to form over the eastern and southern areas of the country towards the afternoon.

Sporadic bouts of rain have already hit parts of the country this week, particularly in Al Ain.

On Wednesday rain fell in Khatm Al Shakla, an area in Al Ain which borders Oman.

Temperatures will vary between 29°C and 44°C along the coast and range between 26°C and 48°C inland.

Humidity will continue to remain high - as it has all week - peaking at 95 per cent and causing mist in the early hours of the day.

Similar conditions are expected on Friday and Saturday
