The mercury is set to spike this coming weekend after weeks of low temperatures, cloudy skies and drizzly rain.
Temperatures are expected to hit 36ºC on Sunday.
According to weather forecast website Accuweather, temperatures across the country will increase by at least 2ºC every day, starting on Thursday, on which an average temperature of 30ºC is expected.
The weather conditions are described to be “sunny, very warm with plenty of sunshine”.
Although weather conditions for the weekend until Saturday are reported to be partly cloudy, with lows of 22ºC in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said that temperatures will continue to slightly increase every day.
“Over the next few days, there will be light to moderate winds in general, and the relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some internal and coastal areas,” the centre said.
Highs of 30ºC are expected on Thursday, rising to 32ºC on Friday, 34ºC on Saturday and 36ºC on Sunday, before dropping back to 34ºC by Monday.
Humidity is expected to reach up to 80 per cent in Abu Dhabi and 85 per cent in Dubai over the weekend.
