Heat and haze are expected across the Emirates today and over the weekend, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
Temperatures will soar to a scorching 47°C in the internal areas with humidity reaching highs of 95 per cent.
Humidity will increase in the evenings and the early mornings over the coastal areas, with a chance of fog and mist, especially in the western areas.
Some clouds are expected in the eastern mountains by Thursday afternoon and light to moderate winds could reach 38kmph at times by the coast, and will cause some blowing dust over exposed areas.
