ABU DHABI // Hot and hazy weather will continue over the next few days and into the weekend.
Humidity levels will rise to 95 per cent in coastal areas, and hover between 70 and 90 per cent inland.
On Wednesday fog was reported along the coast, reducing visibility to less than 500 metres.
Otherwise forecasters expect the weather to be fair in general, hazy and relatively hot during the day and mild by the evening.
Light to moderate winds will help freshen up conditions over some areas, but temperatures are expected to hit a high of 42°C, dipping to 16°C inland, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
Coastal areas will be slightly cooler, recording highs of 37°C and lows of 21°C. In the mountains, temperatures will range from 15°C to 31°C.
Humidity is expect to increase overnight tonight and early into Thursday morning leading to fog and mist across parts of the country.
Seas will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
