ABU DHABI // Despite steadily increasing temperatures the past few weeks, UAE residents have been spared the relatively high humidity levels that often come in tandem.

But this is set to change, with humidity levels forecast to rise dramatically. Although Thursday’s weather is expected to be fair across the country, humidity levels are set to rise as high as 95 per cent in the coastal areas and 90 per cent in the internal areas.

The National Center for Meteorology and Seismology said relative humidity will increase on Thursday night and Friday morning over coastal and internal areas, with the possibly of mist forming as a result.

Coastal areas will see maximum temperatures of 37°C with a minimum of 20°C, while internal areas are expected to have a maximum of 43°C and a minimum of 16°C.

The mountain regions will see lower temperature and humidity on Thursday, with highs of 34°C and maximum humidity of 45 per cent.
