UAE traffic: Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah hit by congestion

Heavy traffic is congesting many of the UAE's roads, including Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, as commuters start their days.
Congestion was reported on Al Wahda Street in Sharjah from the Industrial Area 7 Dubai-bound all the way to Dubai International Airport, as well as around the airport on Al Quds Street.
The Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road also experienced bumper-to-bumper traffic Abu Dhabi-bound from Al Turrfa Area in Sharjah to Al Warqa'a Area in Dubai. A major accident was reported on the highway.


In Abu Dhabi, Salam Street witnessed a lot of congestion inbound into the capital, from Khalifa Park all the way to the Hazza bin Zayed Street Intersection.
Some traffic was also reported off Bainounah Street heading towards the Corniche at the Sheikh Zayed the First Street intersection and on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street from Sheikh Shakhbout bin Sultan Street to Al Ghaf Park.

Other accidents causing traffic:

- Al Khawaneej Road near Muhaisnah in Dubai.

- Al Dhaid Road near Al Mzairah in Sharjah.
