ABU DHABI // The country has been asked to observe a minute’s silence on November 30 in honour of Emirati servicemen killed in Yemen, as the death toll rose.
On Tuesday morning, Nasser Hassan Mohammed Al Balooshi succumbed to injuries he sustained in Yemen. He was wounded during a mission to liberate the city of Marib, and had been receiving treatment in Germany, the state news agency Wam reported.
The Armed Forces paid its condolences to his family. The same day, the Martyrs’ Families Affairs Office called upon all to observe a minute’s silence at 11.30am on the day.
The day’s proceedings begin at 8am, with the lowering of the national flag across the country.
