A UAE delegation led by Minister of State Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi made an official visit to Rwanda and Uganda to enhance the bilateral relations with the two countries.
Al Hashimi expressed the UAE’s appreciation of the role played by Uganda and President Yoweri Museveni in supporting stability and security in Africa as well as facing challenges in some African countries. Regarding the bilateral relations, Al Hashimi underscored that Uganda enjoys natural resources and high potentials including young human resources which represent a priority for the UAE’s efforts aimed at boosting relations with the African Union.
Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame expressed his satisfaction on the development of the cooperation relations with the UAE at the economic and political domains. He also expressed his appreciation to the UAE’s approach in the establishment of partnerships and relations with Rwanda in particular and Africa in general. The Rwandan President called for enhancing Emirati investments in his country which enjoys one of the best investment environments in Africa.
