The Emirati Charity Works Authority office in Palestine has launched Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, which includes establishing Ramadan banquets in Al Aqsa Mosque and the distribution of thousands of Iftar and Suhoor meals.
The UAE Suqia Water Aid campaign, which aims to provide clean drinking water to almost 3,000 orphans, was also implemented. Ibrahim Rashid, director of the human appeal international office in the West Bank, said that the in memory of the late Sheikh Zayed, the authority provided 10,000 Iftar meals to worshippers at Al-Aqsa. He said Sheikh Zayed’s humanitarian work extended far beyond the UAE’s borders and that this programme embodies that spirit.
